We are now accepting clinical case submissions for the ERS International Congres 2020. Submit a clinical case.

Submission

We are offering you an opportunity to submit your interesting clinical cases for inclusion in the Congress programme as part of a range of educational activities. We had a very positive response to previous years' calls and the clinical cases submitted were very valuable as an educational resource – strongly supporting our offering of case-based sessions.

This is a great opportunity for respiratory professionals to share their experiences, have their case presented in front of key opinion leaders in the field and be acknowledge as active contributors in the largest meeting in the respiratory field.

All respiratory professionals with interesting clinical cases are encouraged to submit a case for consideration.

Online submission

Online submission via myERS enables you to create an account and save your clinical case. If you already have an account, you will be able to submit your clinical case directly using your myERS credentials.

Once you have logged in, follow the tags: 'Abstracts/Cases' – 'Congress' – 'Access Clinical Cases Platform'. Recommended browsers to access the submission platform are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Before you submit a clinical case, please carefully read the clinical case submission guidelines and instructions.

You may submit up to three cases per disease area, including:

  • Airway diseases
  • Interstitial lung diseases
  • Paediatric respiratory diseases
  • Pulmonary vascular diseases
  • Respiratory critical care
  • Respiratory infections
  • Sleep and breathing disorders
  • Thoracic oncology

When preparing your cases for submission, please structure it using the following sections:

  1. Case history
  2. Investigations
  3. Results and treatment
  4. Conclusions and points for discussion

Notification of selection

Clinical case submitters will be notified of the status of their clinical case in mid-May 2020; session formats and scheduling of presentations will be communicated by the end of May 2020.

The International Congress Programme Committee and case-based session experts will allocate successful clinical cases to session formats, including:

A number of accepted clinical cases may be considered for publication in Breathe, the ERS educational journal. Your cases may also be used as part of the wider ERS education programme outside of Congress.
