We have reached the end of the ERS International Congress 2018, which this year took place in the beautiful city of Paris. We would like to offer our sincere thank you to everyone who has been involved in this highly successful event.
This year the Congress brought together around 22,000 delegates over five days, to witness more than 420 scientific and educational sessions – covering all the latest in respiratory medicine and science.
We were joined by scientists, clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, national respiratory societies, industry representatives and members of the press from around the globe. Attendees and contributors included the world-renowned experts of today and early career professionals who are set to lead the respiratory field into the future.
Once again, this year we had essential input and involvement from patients and patient organisations, facilitated by the European Lung Foundation. This element is so vitally important to our Congress as we recognise that patient experiences and outcomes are ultimately the reason we are all doing what we do.
Thank you to our host city for embracing this year’s Healthy Lungs for Life campaign and related events which had the continuing theme of ‘Breathe Clean Air’ and offered the people of Paris lung function testing to raise awareness of respiratory disease.
We look forward to seeing you all again in Madrid for the ERS International Congress 2019.
