ERS Award Winners 2017

ERS Gold Medal in Asthma Presented to: Dr Bart Lambrecht The ERS Gold Medal in Asthma grants €50,000 to a researcher who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of asthma and who is currently pursuing an active research project in asthma. Learn more. |

ERS Educational Award Presented to: Professor Stefano Nava This award honours a European clinician, scientist, allied respiratory health professional or individual in any other profession, who has made a contribution of extraordinary magnitude to education in respiratory medicine at a European or international level. ERS Sadoul Lecture Presented to: Dr Dirkje S. Postma The Sadoul Lecture is intended to honour senior scientists with a worldwide reputation. It commemorates the French scientist Paul Sadoul, who was a founder member of the SEPCR and a long-time editor of the Bulletin Européen de Physiopathologie Respiratoire, which was the predecessor of the European Respiratory Journal. ERS Assembly Lifetime Achievement Awards Presented to: Prof. Dr Robert Loddenkemper, Dr Erika Von Mutius, and Prof. Dr Johannes de Jongste This award is presented to multiple recipients in recognition of a lifetime of excellence in the field of respiratory medicine. |

ERS Romain Pauwels Research Award Presented to: Dr James Chalmers This award is presented for excellence in achievements in clinical research on airway diseases such as asthma and related conditions, or other respiratory diseases. Learn more. |

ERS Award for Lifetime Achievement in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Presented to: Dr Lewis Rubin With the support of Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd., ERS offers a €10,000 grant to an investigator in recognition of lifetime achievements, advances and successful research in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension. ERS Research Award: Innovation In Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria Science And Medicine Presented to: Dr Claire Andréjak The ERS Research Award: Innovation in Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) Science and Medicine grants € 10,000 to the recipient.
