ERS Task Forces, Guidelines, Statements and Technical Standards at Congress

ERS develops official Clinical Practice Guidelines, Statements and Technical Standards which aim to provide clarity and direction for a number of topics in respiratory medicine.

ERS Task Forces are made up of experts in a specific field of respiratory medicine. Together they address issues related to that topic in detail in order produce official ERS clinical practice guidelines, statements and technical standards.

Are you interested in developing an ERS Clinical Practice Guideline, Statement or Technical Standard?

Applications for ERS Task Forces aimed at producing an official ERS Clinical Practice Guideline, Statement or Technical Standard are accepted twice a year: on 1 February and on 1 June. ERS also now offers the opportunity to develop short Statements and Guidelines which are designed to respond very quickly to the release of new evidence that could lead to marked changes in clinical practice. These documents are intended to be completed within one year. Applications are accepted at any time of the year. All ERS members are eligible to apply for funding to set up a Task Force. Check our Task Forces web page for more information about upcoming deadlines and on the type of documents developed by ERS.
